All participants who complete the course will receive a certification and a Sansa MP3-player with built-in microphone and radio. This little device can easily be brought out in the field to record interviews with farmers and market sellers, like on the photo below.
To be eligible for the prize you have to complete all the phases of the course. These include the submission of your story idea and focus statement, the team task and the three quizzes. Finally, you will also have to submit your final script in the end of the course.

So far so good. I’ve gained immensely from the scriptwriting course. I will surely miss it. As for the prizes - quite amazing. I never expected all that. But…with or without a prize this is worth the effort. I have learnt alot.
I would complete many more of such courses even if there was nothing to be won. Thank you Farm Radio International and all the sponsors. Keep me updated on such ventures. I’d be more than willing to participate.

I’ve missed the course and a great opportunity to acquire a good recorder for gathering voices from, and for, my farmers. All due to the communication vicissitudes of a 60 year-old agricultural journalist in a remote part of the Third World, where the Internet is usually erratic and undependable!
Nevertheless, I am submitting my script for the competition before the Internet gets another bout of malaria! I hope it is not so archaic that it will reveal one of Atkins disciples of the 70’s in Zambia.
